geysers uses the geyser as a metaphor for a surge of life and activity, marking the end of a long period of waiting and restriction. 'geyser' has the same etymology as the French word 'jaillir' (to burst forth, to gush); with its gestural architecture, geysers seeks to capture the idea of a sudden and powerful burst of energy.
Geysers are represented by a series of circular platforms mounted on stilts, set in the moat which borders the southern slope of the château. A set of footbridges provide access to the platforms from the park. Thus, geysers forms a suspended promenade, offering visitors a new perspective from which to admire the floating reflections of the château.
geysers is designed as a shared experience, and seeks to offer a taste of rediscovered freedom and the chance to reunite. Each 'geyser’ is thus a new world just waiting to be explored.
